David Bishop is a visionary and successful leader who has led as President, two multibillion dollar, leading global media companies – Sony Pictures Home Entertainment and MGM Worldwide Home Entertainment.
David is now compassionately committed to accelerating individual, team and organizational performance. With nearly four decades of experience training emerging and experienced business people, David has learned and developed unique neuroscience proven methodologies that are proven to turn obstacles into opportunities and foster success to a variety of businesses.
Whether developing executives or implementing new strategies within an organization, David equips his clients with techniques to better manage the current or future business climate changes.
David Biship is an acknowledged expert in the media industry around the world and has been at the forefront of three major industry revolutions – DVD, Blu Ray, and Digital Distribution. His teams always scored high in employee engagement and won numerous customer service awards from key customers around the world. David was inducted into Variety’s Hall of Fame in 2002.
David is a recognized authority in developing effective leaders. His passion for building high-performing teams and coaching executives has helped create a cadre of effective leaders in companies like Netflix, United, Google, IMAX, and Amazon. David also serves as a coach for Loyola Marymount University’s Executive MBA program. He is currently an advisor for USC's Third Space Thinking Center, which focuses on leadership development in the private sector. Here he helps develop workshops, assessment tools and marketing strategies. David holds a graduate certification in Executive and Organizational Development from Columbia University.
He is a fellow at Harvard University’s Institute of Coaching. He served as a Chair for Columbia University’s initiative to have neuroscience at the foundation of their executive and organizational development program. He also served a key role in Stanford University’s Positive Coaching Alliance, which is focused on enhancing the experience in youth sports.
David is certified in three key assessment tools:
The Burke Learning Agility Inventory, which measures vital characteristics essential to high levels of performance.
The Neethling Brain Instrument (NBI). This neuroscience-based test uncovers thinking preferences and identifies if someone is strategic, social, analytical or process driven.
USC Third Space Thinking. David helped develop this tool that measures Adaptability, Cultural Competency, Empathy, Intellectual Curiosity and 360 Degree Thinking.
David is Chairman of the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. He was the recipient of the Keystone Award from Los Angeles Team Mentoring.
Married with a son and a daughter, David grew up on the east coast, but now resides in Southern California, splitting his time between New York and Los Angeles.
