Completing an MBA and transitioning back into the workforce can be one of the most stressful and demanding periods of one's career.

In addition to the challenging and competitive academic environment, people on the MBA track face the intense pressures of making career decisions that will influence the rest of their lives.

Which job is the best choice for me?
What is it that I really want out of my career?
How can I pursue what I really love and make enough money?
How do I navigate the politics and responsibilities of my new position and move upwards?

Furthermore, the intense schedules, competing demands, and constant social pressure make it nearly impossible to find the space and time to think clearly about how to navigate the road ahead.

This Group Coaching program is designed specifically to support current MBA/EMBA students and alumni 1-5 years post graduation who are grappling with these challenges.

Home is an executive coach that uses mindfulness to harness his clients’ full potential. The group coaching format allows one to engage in collective discourse while offering accountability and professional development. I greatly enjoy his facilitation and leadership on topics that are essential to all executives operating in today’s volatile business environment.

Why Group Coaching?

From our experience working with MBAs, we know that there is an invisible but powerful herd dynamic at work in MBA programs. Many students start the journey with their unique dreams and aspirations, but find themselves getting pulled off course by peer pressure and the allure of lucrative, high-status career tracks.

Group coaching creates the space for you to tune back into your inner voice and get the support you need to choose your own direction, with purpose and conviction.

By working together with a small group of your peers, you will gain the clarity and self-awareness needed to develop effective strategies and take deliberate steps toward a successful and fulfilling career.

The goals of our coaching is customized for the unique challenges and goals of each group, but may include topics such as...

  • How to navigate the job search or step into a new role with mindfulness and intentionality.

  • How to strengthen your ability to focus your mind and better prioritize your goals and career choices.

  • How to develop greater social/emotional intelligence and self-management skills.

  • How to build supportive and aligned relationships with peers, colleagues, supervisors, and mentors.

  • How to develop greater self-awareness that will allow you to effectively identify and leverage advancement opportunities, and build a career that is aligned with an authentic sense of self.

Our Integrative Approach

At MindKind Institute, we specialize in integrating mindfulness and self-awareness training with career development. Our approach aims to clarify and integrate your core personal values and life purpose while supporting you to navigate relationships, academic, and career challenges.

This program combines four learning and experiential strategies applied over a six-month period.

2. Weekly Exercises and Practice

You will gain access to our private online learning platform. There, you will complete weekly assigned exercises that incorporate mindfulness practices and other helpful techniques, and exchange feedback and insights with your peers.

1. Weekly Group Coaching Calls

The group will meet via group video calls for live coaching with our coaching faculty members. Individuals will be be selected for coaching before each call and the group will hold space through this process. The remainder of the call will be held for group feedback and reflection.

4. Group Support and Feedback

Through our group calls and online platform, you will share insights and personal feedback with one another throughout the week. This will provide encouragement and accountability between the weekly calls and foster a sense of community and shared progress.

3. Customized Content and Resources

Based on the unique challenges and focus of the individuals and group, we will provide relevant reading and video resources for further education and professional development.
